Electric Boilers

Aalborg Forsyning is in the process of deploying 150 MW of electric boiler capacity across three 50 MW units. These units operate similarly to a household electric kettle, by reheating return water from the district heating network for consumer reuse. This system is tailored for handling peak and reserve loads within the district heating framework. 

Additionally, the facility can be used to raise the temperature of surplus heat so that it can be used for supply in the district heating network. This requires a water temperature of 90 degrees.
